Sealing System "ductsave"
System for the injection of hot acrylate, to seal machine made seams
For the permanent sealing of ductseams, a hot acrylate is used. The acrylate is was analyzed for its hygiene suitability by the ILH Berlin and certified.
The glue gets heated in the HB tank system to approximately 180°C and becomes liquid. A piston pump pushes the glue through a heated hosepackage to the application head. A nozzle at the application realizes a even application to the sheet.
The material consumption per 1.5m duct is approximately 4 grams.
A metal sensor at the application head, controls opening and closing of a pneumatic valve.
Through heating all system components and a ring line between application head and tank system, liquid glue is always available at the pneumatic valve. A dry up of the system is not possible.
The nozzle at the application head is placed in a way, that after application of the glue and closing of the seam, the sealing receives its sealing function though instant cooling. The sealing thereby remains elastic.
Amount, temperature and runtime is chosen by a control, which is installed in the tank system. Opening and closing of the pneumatic valve is regulated by a controling unit with the help of a metal sensor.
The System needs a electric connection with 220V, 16A and a compressed air connection with approximately 6bar/ Ø6mm.
The application head is adjusted at the duct seamer in a way, that the hot acrylate can be applicated precisely during the seaming procedure.
A hydrostatic test with 1bar (equates 50-times operating pressure) does not result leakage at the seam.
DUCTSAVE also manual for duct corners
With the patented system "DUCTSAVE" its not only possible to seal the longitudinal fold at the duct seamer. Its also possible to seal the duct corners by hand.
With the electric hand application tool (with granulate storing tank) the sealing compound ductsave 23.10 is applied with 180-200°C and formed by hand with a gadget.
Hardening of the sealing compound is done in approximately 20-30 seconds and it remains elastic like a rubber seal.
The corner can instantly be covered with foil according to VDI 6022, without adherence.
